Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday-eve and more time to integrate our gifts and skills. Sometimes, the best way to insert ourselves in the lives of others is to help them in success by leveraging our skills for their benefit. Help us to have the right words that drop any barriers that exist, and to establish profitable relationships with others, deploying our gifts, and glorifying God… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday and more time to listen well before having an opinion. When we formulate opinions about people based on our own observations, we need to remember that others have done the same. Help us to always have open ears and to remember that our perspective is not the only relevant opinion, and to always bring our uncomfortable situations to You first… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Saturday and more time judge less and discern more. Judgement is for God, but we seem to naturally want to judge others. Help us to remember that God sees all and that we have many blind spots, and as long as we discern constantly as we’ve been instructed, via the filters of God’s wisdom and Proverbs, we will be well equipped… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Sunday and more time to resist the urge to disconnect. We are better and much more useful to God in groups, rather than being individual contributors. Help us to resist the urge to disconnect from others, and when faced with headwinds, to deal with the challenges creatively, bringing our concerns to God, and receiving life-giving wisdom in moving forward for God… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Monday and more time to build consensus before moving forward with others. When we are working with others on a common challenge, communication and consensus are important in establishing a path forward. Help us to remember to proactively communicate with all who we have been grouped with, and to seek agreement on issues before decisions are implemented on our common paths… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Tuesday and more time to let the fruit of others be apparent to all. Difficult people are usually indiscriminate in their behaviors, and when bad fruit is introduced, the pungent odor becomes obvious to all. Help us to resist the urge to point-out the obvious, and to let matters resolve themselves, allowing Proverbs to guide our tongues and steps, glorifying God… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Wednesday and more time to step outside of our comfortable routines. Most of us like the predictability that our personal routines seem to bring into our lives, but a lack of flexibility with ourselves can cause us to be unnecessarily unavailable to God. Help us to be creative in our own lives, thinking through our tasks in new ways, for God’s glory, not ours…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday-eve and more time to remember that we all live in a glass house. Outrage and calls for justice can get intoxicating, and sometimes evolve into a mob mentality that gains a momentum that develops blind-spots. Help us to remember that God sees everything and vengeance is for God alone, and once we’ve voiced our concerns, anything more is simply piling-on… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday and more time to forgive where transgressions have occurred. Trespasses by others, in the name of God, unfortunately occur far too often, and cause calamity within great congregations. Help us to strengthen our relationship with You in the face of massive failures in others, either helping to rebuild, or moving on, but always glorifying You in our words and actions… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Saturday and more time to worship God alone. The Bible is filled with stories illustrating people’s desire to worship things or leaders, but our worship should only be anchored on God, through Jesus. Help us to see clearly when our focus shifts away, knowing that focal points on religious leaders or objects is idolatry, and opens the door for sinful corruption… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Sunday and more time to rebuild profitable ministries. We can focus on the past, and the injustice, or we can focus on the potential in the future, having learned lessons and rebuilding for God’s glory. Help us to take comfort that the truth is exposed, and to turn back to Jesus, rebuilding ministries focused on God, not the popularity of men… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Monday and more time to focus on Jesus rather than pastors or man. God wants our attention, and God wants us to have a personal relationship with him. Help us to avoid hierarchical organizations that promise a path to God, and instead to be personally curious, seeing pastors as teachers, not prophets, in our pursuit of a personal relationship with Jesus… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Tuesday and more time to invest our time in others. Enough vs. not enough should be our tactical financial focus, and investing our only true treasure, our time, should be our investment strategy for our eternal future. Help us to focus intently on our investments for eternity, realizing that material things do not bring long-term happiness, but investing in others will… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Wednesday and more time to know that enabling is not loving. Negative consequences in our lives should be motivating us to do better, and we all have a point where the consequence can become a trigger for positive change. Help us to be loving, not enabling, to be ready to help those who want help, and to pray for those lost… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday-eve and more time to focus on You first. It is easy to become lazy in our faith, desiring to be fed by teachers instead of feeding ourselves. Help us to focus primarily on You, utilizing those who teach as our crutches to reach You, remembering that our teachers are sinners, just like us, and You are our standard for capacity… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday and more time to include God in our alliances. As we traverse our lives, we have opportunities to form alliances with others when mutual interests become apparent. Help us to always include You in the alliances we form, sometimes within fellowships, other times outside of fellowship, but always seeking to move toward fellowship, in Jesus, in the alliances we participate… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Saturday and more time to keep our closets organized. We acquire stuff, and over the years, if not tended to, our closets fill with items we no longer have a mindful inventory of. Help us to dig deep into the closets of our past, uncovering gems to cherish, and discarding things that others can use, always looking forward in our faith… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Sunday and more time to take a little time to reflect on the steps of our lives. We should not dwell on the past, but every once in a while it is helpful to look back and inventory our steps, seeing the relationships shaping our today. Help us to see You in our past, and to glorify you today and tomorrow… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Monday and more time to lay the foundations for the future. It is never a bad time to lay new foundations for the future, building upon the wisdom and knowledge God has shared thus far. Help us to always build, and to resist the mindset of retirement, knowing that our usefulness to God does not end with worldly years in service,… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Tuesday and more time to enjoy the variety in our lives. Geometry and predictability in our lives seems to bring us comfort, however, the richness of calculus and our openness to flexibility yields a deeper experience. Help us to be open to less predictability in our daily routines, understanding the importance of guardrails, but allowing for more variation, maximizing God’s glory… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Wednesday and more time to connect the dots of evil. Evil always seems to consume itself, and we live in a time where seeing the connections should be self-evident. Help us to help others see the connections in our society that are leading to self-consumption, and in doing so, helping others to see the truth and the lies, informing wise decisions… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday-eve and more time to bring all of our troubles to you. In this world, you have promised us that we would have tribulations, but you also promised that you are available to guide us through the valleys. Help us to come to you first, to layout our anxieties and canvases of the unknown, and trust that you hear and remediate… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday and more time to exercise our tongues consistent with your Proverbs. Whether dealing with fellow believers or not, our personal interactions with others should be handled in a consistent way, aligned with the wisdom contained in the book of Proverbs. Help us to listen more than we speak, and to carry ourselves in loving truth with the word of God… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Saturday and more time to listen intently for God’s marching orders. God has a purpose and plan for each of us, and when we start to feel frequent headwinds on our paths, we should listen for opportunities to pivot. Help us to seek You deeply, having free conversations with You in prayer, and listening for pivots in us that glorify You… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Sunday and more time to remember that words matter in outcomes. Both the words we use and the tone in which we deliver our words do have meaningful impacts on the outcomes we achieve. Help us to listen intently, to understand motives, and to have a clear outcome in mind that glorifies God, before deploying words of change into mature relationships… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Monday and more time to use words that are effective and true. There are lots of ways we can use the words we speak with others, some of which causing strife, others capable of bringing us together for a common cause. Help us to always be deliberate in our words, and to select words that are encouraging, but honest for change… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Tuesday and more time to let new relationships soak-in for a bit. People can be awkward, especially in new situations where we find ourselves in close proximity. Help us to allow impressions to age with time, and to resist the urge to formulate conclusions about others, utilizing the wisdom of Your Proverbs to guide our tongues and steps in the meantime… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Wednesday and more time to ask God for the wisdom to move us forward. ‘We have not because we ask not’, and moving forward in ways that perpetuate our purposes requires more and more wisdom as we grow. Help us to come to You often, to discuss our challenges and to request sufficient wisdom to achieve our tasks, without causing drama… In Jesus’ name…
Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I pray for my friends in fellowship. Thank you for this Friday-eve and more time to be where we’re needed. There is not an effective synthetic for human interaction, and reducing the dimensions of our interactions creates waste in our potential for good fruit. Help us to prefer to be present and in-person when moving forward the fruit of our interactions, and by doing so, glorifying God in our full human potential… In Jesus’ name…
